A wine produced with the Tinta del País grape variety (also known as Tempranillo). Malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak, then aged for 10 months in French (90%) and American (10%) oak barrels.

Grape Variety:

Tinta del País (aka Tinta Fino or Tempranillo)

Harvest and Production:

The handpicked grapes are harvested into boxes and then refrigerated at 5ºC. A double selection process of clusters, then grapes. Malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels.

Ageing

, following malolactic fermentation, it is aged for 10 months in French (90%), Hungarian (5%) and American (5%) oak, before bottling.

TASTING NOTES

Color:

A beautiful, deep red cherry color with a violet hue at the edges. Powerfully intense, clean with no signs of fading, having rich potent legs.

Nose:

Becoming more intense as it opens, revealing the fruit’s sweetness. Initially red and black forest fruits appear, with notes of fragrant herbs like fennel or mint, capped by toasted sensations with gentle, smoky reminisces finishing with a touch of spice.

In the mouth:

A tannic fruit foundation with very well integrated oak tannins, making wines that are voluptuous, fleshy, long and ample with excellent structure. Velvety in the mouth where the dark fruits re-emerge accompanied by mineral notes, very characteristic of this terroir. The ripe fruit clearly dominates the oak barrel ageing artifacts.
